Per the directions it says to wire the key switch wire directly to the key switch (behind the dash). This does not work on an EzGo RXV golf cart. I had to wire it to the solenoid. (The same post as the controller is on). The power stays on for less than a minute after the key is turned off, but it does discharge all the way. I tried to turn the lights on after (while key is in the off position) and they don't come on. So it's working. It hasn't been long since I had to do this, so I'm hoping for the best!Instructions were easy to follow. You will need a fuse box to run multiple outputs only gave 4 stars dur to only being installed 3 days. Not sure of the longevityUsed this on my golf cart to reduce voltage from 48v to 12v in order to power lights and radio. Powers on and off with my ignition switch, just as described. Good quality and easy to install.Works as described. Replaced factory unit on my Club Car Precedent.No directionsProduct stopped working after a few months. Refused to send a replacement or refund my money. Had to buy a second one. This one showed up damaged as something was rattling around inside which forced me to put in for a third order. Buyer beware.Comes with a connector at the part but no connector to wire to load. had to cut off the connector and crimp to load wiresRead the instructions. Wire it properly and you're done. One tip about the "Ignition" wire or switched wire. You DO NOT have to go behind the dash. The switch turns off and on at the Controller. I tapped in there and it's working perfect. Great price!
